Thanks for your Support.
Dear Friends,
I wanted to thank you for giving me and Fred the most amazing gift: your support. I would also like to share some of the ways your donations have gone toward making a difference in the lives of so many young people.
First of all, thank you for supporting Biletnikoff Foundation for fifteen years! We have grown in size and effort and we strive to represent strength and stability for many families in the greater Bay Area and Sacramento and Placer County.
With only two and sometimes one event a year, the Biletnikoff Foundation has donated over $660,000 to our community. The Biletnikoff Family and Foundation are incredibly thankful to our friends and our community for the continued outpouring of support. Our Foundation gives to at-risk children and outstanding students, from pre-teen boys and girls to teen boys and girls. Fred is an incredible ambassador for the Biletnikoff Foundation and the Oakland Raiders. I have never met a man that is so passionate and driven to his work and family.
During the past year, the Biletnikoff Foundation has funded:
• Tracy's Place of Hope at Koinonia
• Dacia Biletnikoff Dance Scholarship Roseville California (3 scholarships)
• STAND: Contra Costa County Safe Housing for domestic violence victims
• Head First Gamers: teen boys completive travel baseball team
• Live Oak Swim Team: inner city youth swim team age 6 to 18 in Oakland California
• Dublin High School Athletic Department
• Rocklin Girls Softball
• Kids First: outpatient therapy for teen drug, alcohol abuse and domestic violence
• All American College Prep Program: provides youth softball athletes with exposure to, and networking with, colleges and universities nationwide
• Biletnikoff Foundation Scholarship Award (5 scholarships)
• Take A Stand: A special event that is a high energy, interactive motivational program for teens that includes speakers, music, dancers, give- aways and inspirational message to “Take a Stand” so you may become the best you can be in your life, family and community.
Introduced for the first time this year was the Dacia Biletnikoff Award, given to an outstanding and dedicated dancer at the end of a two week long international dance intensive called “The Launch.” The Launch is designed to train and educate dancers that will continue their higher education in art of dance. The international teachers could not decide on one recipient and decided instead to honor a group of dancers by splitting the scholarship among three talented dancers. Dacia was proud to announce the winners at the end of the Launch’s amazing performance.
As you may or may not be aware, a retrial in the case of Tracey’s death was originally scheduled for October 2011 but was then changed to January 2012. Because of our preparation for this, the Biletnikoff Foundation took the year off from our 12th Annual November event. Many people were disappointed, many of whom were our Biletnikoff Foundation Board Members, who realize the importance of this event since it raises a great deal of money for scholarships. I even received an email from one of our guests who held a crab feed at their home in our honor and invited us over for dinner; an incredibly touching and sweet gesture.
The Biletnikoff Foundation is grateful for this opportunity to make a difference in a young life. We will continue to be a leader in our community. We are so grateful for Tracey leading us to a life of community service. Fred and I will never forget your generosity in making dreams come true.
Thank you and God bless you and your family.
Respectfully,
Fred and Angela Biletnikoff
Founders of the Biletnikoff Foundation
